MRS. MARCELLE HUNSAKER Adrimr Advisor VIRGINIA YANCEY, edilof'-inwlaief, guided the paper through a successful year. THE EAGLE I WSPAPER The Eagle got off with a good start this year with Virginia Yancey as editor-in-chief and her staff of thirty-five reporters and twenty editors. A superior rating by the National Scholastic Press Association was their goal for 1956-57. Changes, which the student body accepted enthusiastically, were made in the size, make-up, style, and circulation of the Eagle Many of the budding journalists attended clinics and conventions, sponsored by the Commercial Appeal and the University of Tennessee, to aid them in their work.
