Room Representatives of ss 4 ii' I sixty-two Purposes-to preserve student honor, to pro- mote student welfare, to provide the means for co-operation between student body and faculty, and to present assemblies with in- spirational, educational, and entertaining value. Colors-red and white. Motto- Knowledge is Power. Officers-two co-presidents, and traffic chief, elected by entire senior high school after having met scholastic and citizenship re- quirements. Members-two from each homeroom. Tasks-to assist in such problems as general traffic, order in the buildings and improve- ment of sanitation, as well as organizing diFferent types of parties to which the senior high student body is invited with no admis- sion. Eagle's Call-a booklet composed of all the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of iunior and senior high students, with their clubs and activities, is edited and sold every year and the profits are deposited to S.A.B. Faculty Sponsors-Mr. Hank Farino, Miss Eleanor Cooley, and Mrs. Marcelle Hunsaker.

From the Editor and His Staff Treadwell is a wonderful school and we are proud to be a part of it, especially that part with The duty of recording in this Annual, Treadwell's activities for 53 and 54. We've worked hard, scheduling, picture taking, sizing pictures, lay- ing out pages, preparing copy, proof-reading, and sketching. We have enjoyed working together and hope you will like the results. We wish to express our thanks to everyone who has co-operated with us in the publishing of the i954 Annual. We especially wish to thank Miss Tisdale and Mrs. Buffaloe, without whose e x p e rt guidance and unending patience the iob would have been impos- sible, Mr. Maybry and the faculty for their co-operation, and the en- tire Senior Class for selling the ads which made the publication ot our Annual possible.

The Tau Sigma Chapter of the National Honor Society was founded in 1943. The name, Tau Sigma, was chosen because it represents the letters T.S.,'the first letters in Treadwell School. Its colors are yellow and white, and the adopted flower is the Marquerite Daisy. The object of the chapter as stated in the constitution is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in pupils of Treadwell High School. Candidates must have attended Treadwell at least one year and must have and must maintain a high B average. Membership in this chapter is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed on a Treadwell student in recognition of his scholarship, leadership, character, and service-the four ideals of the society. Advisors: Mrs. Rose Goldfarb, Mr. E. T. Fowler, and Miss Myrtle Deadrick. sixty-three
