J.V.'s and Sophs Look to Continue Winning Ways 1974 was a big year for the entire Trojan football program, ending up with a record of 17 wins against only 5 losses. The Junior Varsity met with two road losses to contrast their five wins, the losses were a 34-0 rout by Mona Shores and a heartbreaking 34-21 loss to Muskegon. The “Little Trojans went to Muskegon with a total of 14 players, including 9 starters, unable to participate and several others playing over their injuries. The sophomore team proved themselves to be a high-powered offensive team scoring an average of 30 points a game. Their offense was based on the Brad Pines or Bob Davis to Brian Jones pass combination and strong running by Matt Courtade, Scott Rice and Randy Walter. Coaches Jon Constant and Bob Lewallen made good use of strong line play by center Roger Mervau, Tom Harmon, Tony Steinberg, Jim Fi-farek and Dan Rickard.

Students Take to the Road Mystery Dents Reported in Student Parking Lot As school came back in session after summer, students whose automobiles were parked in the student lot, were panicked at the thought of new drivers using their cars (or their parent's cars) as crash barriers. The driving range's once again became known as “the obstacle course by the driver education students, much to the dismay of their licensed peers. It must be noted more seriously that through the efforts of Mr. Jim Raymond and Mr. Al Elzinga, over 200 students per semester during the school year alone receive an operator's license. il Mr. Raymond Mr. Elzinga 2 1. Students give full attention as their instructor lectures. 2. Mr. Raymond keeps close watch on new drivers on the range. 3. Students take time to talk before class begins. 4.
