HOMECOMING EVENTS BOOST SCHOOL SPIRIT Once again, the Class of 75 proved its spirit by repeating as winners of the homecoming Big Mouth award (a yelling contest), and the Float Competition between the classes. Their float portrayed the theme Round 'Em Up and Roast 'Em . Some very strange looking horses, led by Greg Cizek and Mike Buday, pulled the covered wagon. The Juniors took second with a lot of effort put into a tombstone which read, The Reds Are Dead . Ghosts surrounded the graveyard scene. The sophomores completed the competition by expressing their hopes of Rocketing the Reds . A large rocket dominated their float. After a victorious game ending with a score of 40-12, Carol Grishaw and Rick Beagle were crowned queen and king by Coach Ooley. Kofijam provided entertainment at Homecoming Dance sponsored by the Student Council and Pep Club. 4 Opposite Page 1. The Juniors' Homecoming float was a graveyard scene, surrounded by ghosts. 2. The 1974-75 Pep Club, under the direction of advisor John Sonneman and Pres. Sandy De-Moulpied, got under way early in the school year with their running of the sports concessions, pep assemblies, selling ribbons and painting signs promoting Trojan victories. The Pep Club was also integral in organizing Homecoming, Pep-A-Rama and buses to several away games.
