Band Sets Record for Tops In Events TUHS band compiled an all-time record by winning a first place at the All Western Band Review at Long Beach, and then achieved the highest rating - a su- perior f- at the Music Festival. Other accomplishments included a tirst place at the Riverdale parade, and an outstanding spring concert. Also, within the band was a 'real gone' pep band under the capable direction of Terry VanZant. Yeafs Activities Are Recorded in Tule, Award-llinning Hi-Lite ln yearbook and newspaper the story of the year's work and play is told, The i956 Tule speaks for itself. The l-li-Light received a certificate ot excellence from the San Joaquin Valley Scho- lastic Press Association at the spring press conference. This is the second time in succes- sion that the Hi-Lite has had the highest rat- ing when judged with printed papers from schools ot 500 or under in the San Joaquin Valley.
