Dean ' s Message A little laughter now and then is reUshed by the wisest men. - Proverb Each year has its own peculiar flavour - this one has been exuberant. There has been laughter, song, tears, hard work, disagreements and moments for reflection. As you look back, you will remember the friendships, the hopes and the dreams you shared whole at Trafalgar Castle. They will be one of the many pearls of Ufe. Good luck, Ann Wiggins Principars Message Once again it is yearbook time - the years roll by. This year, due to the double graduation of grade thirteen and the first batch of OSIS students out of grade twelve, a greater number of girls will be leaving us to go on to university and new lives beyond our walls. For this group of nearly sixty, this book will serve as a memory chest for years to come. The loss of such a large number will be intensely felt by those of us who stay behind. So many of them have had long and full careers at the school and under other circumstances a number of them would have been returning to us to take up positions of leadership in the school next year. We wish them Godspeed. Let me offer congratulations to the editors of this important book. It serves not only as an opportunity for creativity but more importantly as a record of our accomplishments and as a memory bank of our experiences and friendships. In years to come we will look to it with interest and sentiment.

Commencement On September 5th, our annual Commencement ceremonies took place. Many of our graduates returned from a wide range of Universities, where they are presently studying, to receive their diplomas and awards. The Valedictorian, Afshan Javed, gave a very touching farewell that brought tears to the eyes of those who would dearly miss the graduating class. We were particularly proud of both Nicole Taylor who won many awards, including the University of Womens ' Club of Oshawa Scholarship and Judy Wong who won the University of Toronto Open Admissions Scholarship. Our new Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mitchell, spoke of the past, present and, most importantly, future of our school. The sense of pride that he expressed in his address was shared by the girls in uniform, as well as the girls in white dresses. We would Hke our graduates to know that we will never forget them and we hope that they will Be ever true to our dear Blue and Blue of T.C.S. Best of luck in the future.
