Editorial It is a honour for me to be the editor of the yearbook. This year has been a special one to me since I am also graduating. It seems extremely challenging to me, as a Chinese to take over this task, as English is not my first language. Also I almost know nothing about this job. To me, the yearbook itself has been like a baby, who has been nurtured by many efforts. These efforts were from the advisors, contributors and most important of all, from our yearbook club members. We can see that the baby is now well-grown, however, it still needs the counsel and support from the teachers and all those who have helped us through this year. To be a full-grown adult I understand that we may have to walk as our own in the future. With all the insights we have acquired from every field, I am sure we will not walk without fear. Last, but not least, I would like to thank Mr. Yamcke for giving me a chance, to Mr. Richard, for his dedication, and special thanks to my roommate, Yan Yan, without her help I wouldn ' t be able to finish this book! All the best to next year ' s editor. Also may I send my sincerest gratitude and best wishes to all of you. Here then is the yearbook. Love for 1987. Its merits you may credit to my helpers; its defects you should blame on me. Dean ' s Message A little laughter now and then is reUshed by the wisest men. - Proverb Each year has its own peculiar flavour - this one has been exuberant. There has been laughter, song, tears, hard work, disagreements and moments for reflection. As you look back, you will remember the friendships, the hopes and the dreams you shared whole at Trafalgar Castle. They will be one of the many pearls of Ufe. Good luck, Ann Wiggins Principars Message Once again it is yearbook time - the years roll by. This year, due to the double graduation of grade thirteen and the first batch of OSIS students out of grade twelve, a greater number of girls will be leaving us to go on to university and new lives beyond our walls. For this group of nearly sixty, this book will serve as a memory chest for years to come. The loss of such a large number will be intensely felt by those of us who stay behind. So many of them have had long and full careers at the school and under other circumstances a number of them would have been returning to us to take up positions of leadership in the school next year. We wish them Godspeed. Let me offer congratulations to the editors of this important book. It serves not only as an opportunity for creativity but more importantly as a record of our accomplishments and as a memory bank of our experiences and friendships. In years to come we will look to it with interest and sentiment.
