Rising from its parkland, serene and friendly, Trafalgar Castle appeared among the summer trees. I turned in at the gate, and so came back to O.L.C. Somehow things here seem to have changed very little over the years. Even the girls are much the same-- the gay, the moody, the clever, the siow, the cheery, the gloomy-- and all the sleepy-heads ! And yet I know each girl is unique-- a never exhaust- ed (though frequently exhausting!) source of delight for the explorer who understands. What tremendous gifts girls will lavish on those tuned to acceptance ! In my turn, I trust that one little word or idea of mine has been of help to some of them in their quest for tomorrow. Enjoyment of life in all its phases, a spirit of wonder, an active acceptance of what must be, a vigorous impatience with what should not be, an awareness of who and what we are and what we are meant to be-- all of these have filled my living with zest. May some of them brighten your days as you move into the future ! Mrs. Heard
