This poem is Mr. ixroofes favorite, and we feel it states his philosophy of life. I SHALL NOT PASS AGAIN THIS XVAY The bread that giveth life I want to give, The water pure that bids the thirsty livez I want to help the fainting day by day, For I am sure I shall not pass again this way. I want to give to others joy for tears. The faith to conquer crowding doubts and fearsL Beauty for ashes may I give always, For I am sure I shall not pass again this way. I want to give good measure o'er And into angry hearts I want to pour The answer soft that turncth wrath away For I am sure I shall not pass again this way. Mr, Moore talking to a student when he 'vas Dc-an fit Boys at Tracy High The Bellmoort- QLh,,,,l I want to give to others hope and faith, I want to do all that the Master sayeth, I want to live aright from day to day, For I am sure I shall not pass again this way. 7' -4.1.1.4-Q. Clerk: Dr. J, If Longley Q, W jg .f V, 326 LQ il -ff rg if 29 h Our philosophy of education in America is unique in that we as a people believe that a high school edu- cation should be available to all, NWC do not believe, as do some nations, that educational opportunities should exist only for selected groups. It would be foolish to deny that the future of our nation rests in considerable measure upon our progress in science and technology and our ability to train adequate numbers for such roles. However, the struggle for peace calls for knowledge, in- sights, and abilities of many kinds and if democracy is to be preserved, it is most important that each individ- ual has the opportunity to receive an education of such scope and diversity to enable him to rise to his own potential. For this reason the curriculum of Tracy High School includes a large variety of activities, Many of these activities are primarily academic in thier nature. Other activities within the curriculum are designed to provide students with opportunities to learn through actual participation, the strength of self government, the importance of cooperativeness, and the power of self confidence, I am proud to be a part of Tracy High, a school where every student has many opportunities to excel as an individual.
