The major +hree-acl' produclion of fhe year was: THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST Nineleen-fhirfy-six saw nine Seniors emerge from gawlcing youlhs 'ro poised adulfs in fhe Senior Play, The lmporlance of Being Earnest They were Edgar Robinson, Be+'ry Oliver, Bill Farnsworih, Marie Sheppard, Don Lehman, Slevesline Jacks, Evelyn Linde- man, Fred Garrison, and Wal+er Snyder. The 'rechnical slaff included Mae Bailey, Emily SanguineH'i, Jim Ariza, Harold Anderson, Bill Gerow, and Lelia Prouf. The play ilself was wriH'en by Oscar Wilde and was produced al' Tracy I-Ii by Mrs. Coupe, who was also 'rhe Senior Class Advisor. The performance was presen+ed 'rwo nighls, November I9 and 20. The play was a success bolh nighfs, wilh Ihe profils +o+aling in Ihe neighborhood of Sl20.00. THE LITTLEST Sl-IEPI-IERDH The LiHles'r Shepherd, fhe I936 Chrisfmas play, was given on Friday, December I9, before The enlire siudenl' body. This pageanf was direcied by Mrs. Baumgardner wilh fhe following cash Jim Ariza, Ida Dal Porfo, Be+'ry Kelly, Eleanor Kelly, Doris Leach, Lucy Nunes, Louis Ormonde, Mary Perry, Charles Rezendes, Charlolle Sommerville, WaI+er Snyder, James Blaney, Jim Lynch, BeH'y Moore, and Mary Gamino. ONE-ACT PLAYS GIVEN The drama classes and fhe Dramafics Club have produced I7 plays during fhe currenf school year of I936-37. The one-acf plays are as follows: Suppressed Desires, Join+ Owners in Spain, The Highpowered RoadsI'er, The LiHle Wife, Excellen+ Thing in a Woman, Who Says Can'1'. The lmperiinence of The Crea+ure, The Princess Who Losf Her Shoes. S'Iuf'Fed Owls. Three Pofafoes for Mary, LiHle Prison, Romeo and Julie+, The Burglar, The Acid Tes+, A Bouquef for 'rhe Bride, Under Fire, S+a+ion WXYZ's Audilion Tes'I'. The Indian Pageam' and 1'he Girls' League Vaudeville were ofher drama+ic producfions during 'Ihe year. TUNE IN Tune ln was fhe I937 Spring Opereirla presenfed a+ Tracy High May 7. The cas? of four+een included Fred Garrison, Ray Palmer, Es+her DeMark, Louise Anfon, Don Lehman, Doroihy Woofler, Ardyfhe Campbell, Georgia Edwards, Jack Simpson, Lor- raine Willig, Bob Pimenfal, Jim Ariza, Cecil Miller, and Bill Farnsworlh. Mr. Roberfs and Mrs. Baumgardner were Ihe direc+ors.
