SENIOR HISTORY In The Tall of I933 our presenT Seniors, who were Then buT Timid Freshmen, were inTro- duced inTo The high-school liTe of Tracy. In spiTe oT being green Freshmen, They were noT badly Trounced by The Sophomores on lniTiaTion Day. AT The RecepTion given in Their honor, dressed in Their besT bib and Tuckers, The Freshies enjoyed Their TirsT high school dance. Ed Robinson was presidenT oT The class oT '37 Tor The TirsT semesTer oT The Freshmen year. During This semesTer The class enTered an aTTracTive TloaT in The N. R. A. Parade. The second semesTer Dick Dobney was presidenT. During Their Sophomore year The class oT '37 gained much Tame. FirsT, There was The very successful Sophomore Hop, wiTh a Japanese sTreeT scene as iTs seTTing. During This year The class won Three inTerclass baskeTball championships and The boxing TournamenT. Class presidenTs were: Bill Gerow, TirsT semesTer, and Bob Kaiser Tor The second semesTer. The class of '37 sTarTed Their Junior year wiTh WalTer Friedrich as class presidenT. During The second semesTer Fred Garrison presided aT The head of The class. For The Junior Prom The Rose Room in The Tracy Inn represenTed The essence of springTime in iTs colorTul decoraTions. A Talse ceiling oT pasTel colored balloons was very beauTiTuI. Amid The soTT lighTs, guesTs danced To The sTrains of sweeT music furnished by The WinTer Garden OrchesTra of ModesTo. The Junior Girls were hosTesses aT The annual Senior Tea in The spring. On February 28, I936, many of The presenT Seniors Took a very acTive parT in The spring OpereHa, The Toreadors. Fred Garrison Took a leading parT as did Don Lehman and Bruce Williams. Lorraine Willig was also casT in an imporTanT role. Don Lehman headed The class Tor The Tall semesTer oT The Senior year. The Senior Play, presenTed in November, proved a greaT success. Edgar Robinson and WalTer Snyder played The leading male roles while BeTTy Oliver and STevasTine Jacks porTrayed The Two heroines. The Senior Ball was a winTer wonderland in iTselT. The Rose Room aT The Tracy Inn was Transformed inTo an arcTic circle wiTh ToTem poles, icicles and Tiny ChrisTmas Trees, covered wiTh silver sTars. The STanTord Ambassadors supplied The music Tor The evening. ATTer Tour years OT work and play, happiness and Tears, The class of '37 has leTT behind iT TooTprinTs ever To be remembered. EnTering The school as raw maTerial, iT was moulded inTo some Tine producTs by The shorT Tour years ThaT played so greaT a parT in laying The ToundaTion Tor success, Tame, and good TorTune. I
