Mr. Desautels graduated from the' University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. degree and later returned to receive a M.S. in education. While a student at the university, he was the first president of Alpha Phi Omega, a member of the Men's Educational Association, and belonged to the Kappa Phi Kappa fraternity. At present, Mr. Desautels is instructor of chemistry at S.T.C. He is on the Administration and Standards Committee, and the Faculty Standing Committee. The Senior Class will long remember him for his serving as class adviser. Mr. Desautels is collecting a micro-mineral collection for the Smithsonian Institution, his collection, which numbers 2500 specimens, has been declared 'Gthe best in the country. He is curator of minerals for the Maryland Academy of Science and is president of the board of directors of the Maryland Mineral Society. His hobby has long been that of growing and experimenting with African violets, this hobby has proved both enjoyable and profitable. To you ML D, we proudly dedicate the Tower Echoes of 1956. Mr. DP'
