Freshman, sophomore, junior or senior- it didn't make any difference who or what you were. Everyone, came September and February had to register. After four hard years, it's hard to forget the many hours of scheduling, the long lines, course changes and writer's cramps. I 'Z I THE BEGINNIN - .,, Freshman week is the first glimpse of college life for newcomers to STC, and is planned to give them the best possible start. To offset the ordeals of testing and registration and to help the freshmen find a place to fit in before the upperclassmen returned activities were planned. Such activities as barn dances, pajama parties, scavanger hunts, hikes and plays got the new freshmen off to a good start. Above, a group of freshmen gather around Tom Evans as he sounds his trumpet at the talent show. To provide a friendly atmosphere for the new student, group singing was conducted in the foyer at off hours by the Freshman Advisory Council. As the picture shows, the new students frequently enjoyed their own group singing conducted by their own talented friends. 11 ' N '5 Q' .15 n A' Among the many events of the week was a card party which was held in the Foyer.
