clechcafion These are our pupils. These are the actual boys and girls who are growing up and learning, adjusting well or not so well in our community, our school, our class' room. These are the individual youngsters who-through the guidance of all of us working together-we hope will become healthy and happy adults, for their own sakes, for the sake of a better America and a better world tomorrow. It is to these boys and girls-the ones that we will soon be teaching-that the TOWER EcHoEs of 1952 is humbly and sincerely dedicatedg because this generation must be the best the world has ever seen or it will be the last. This statement, is the definition of growth according to Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. Today, we at Towson are witnessing tremendous growth and develop' ment. This is made evident not only in the everfincreasing physical facilities, greater enrollment, and higher academic standards, but also in those intangibles of rising esprit de corps, deeper appreciation of Towson tradition and the education profesf sion. We are proud of this growth and those who have made it possible. We, the editors, feel honored for being given the task of portraying a crossfsection of this development and presenting in an informal and pictorial story, a great: year at Towson State Teachers College.
