TC CLUBS Seeing , being , joining . . . open many doors Doors open to many different experiences as those who belong to one or more of the TC clubs can tell. Room 300 admits CSMC and Sodalist members who are interested in promoting Catholic Action. This year, the CSMC aided the missions by donations, stamps, prayers — even adopted a Korean orphan. The Sodality collaborated with the Student Council in collecting toys and clothes for the poor. Room 100 opened its doors to the Josephenum Club whose special object is to pray for vocations, especially through a weekly holy hour. The success of assemblies depends on Jim Owings, Tim Whitley and Jim Cos- grove, experts in manning lights, shifting property and making mikes work. Assisting Sister Ligouri in the Guidance OfTice are Mary Saunders, Sue Mays, Peggy Judge, who are just now enjoying one of Joe Kalista ' s comments. Where is Joe? Right there attached to his arm, of course. Latin Club: Secretary Michael Connor, President Elaine Diggs, Vice-President Thomas Peyton plan details for the semi-monthly meeting in Room 100. 40

Officers of he French Club — Vice-PresieJent Carol Freeburger, Secretary Sally Wingo, Sister AcJele Fran- cis, and President Richard Galster — are making some tapes for their next meet- ing. Carol is also president of TC ' s chap- ter of the National French Honor Society and has been active in the aims of the organization. French, once the language of diplomats, completes TC ' s language program. In addition to the fundamentals of grammar, translation, pronunciation, qualified students plunge into the waters of French history, civilization, government. Third year pupils read Dumas, Moliere, Victor Hugo, en francais, of course. The important goal of I. rench Department is to achieve swift conversational French thtougn good oral expression. — BD 39

They are probably planning future UNY activities. JOSEPHENUM CLUB Officers: Vice-President Mary Smith, President Anna Schneider, and Secretary Donna Stevens are gathering material for the next Wednesday meeting of TC ' s vocation unit. Homemakers of the future, Mary Galsler, Valerie Green, and Charlene Sibley, will certainly know how to assemble an attractive and delicious meal if they follow Sister Alma ' s guidance.
