TOWSON CATHOLlC'S JAY VEE The Jay Vee have not been so suc- cessful in the games. They have won two from Sparks and tied with Pork l-l. They were defeated by Patter- son, lnstitute, Catholic High and Seton. The girls on the J.V. are all playing their first year of basketball except Peggy Bushman who is play- ing her second year. They have the fight and the spirit through every game - win or lose. The Junior Var- sity players, today, are our future Var- sity players of tomorrow. The offense players for the J. V. are: Peggy Bushman, Judy McGinn, Jean Beavan, and Eleanor Kohles. The defense players are: Mary Agnes Soltysiak, Peggy Rudigier, captain, Ruth Puzon, Helen Anderson and Annalee Cockey. ln the first row seated, left to right: Doris Wiseman, Timekeeper, Dorothy Daiger, Business Manager, Patsy Bruns, Scorekeeper. The game, played in our gym, was one of the closest of the season. Al- though the first field goal was scored by Bel Air, the Towson team responded with enough points to make the half-time count l7-9, and was never headed thereafter. OF COURSE, WE LOST SOME . . . In our second league game we lost to Catholic High, 25-l l, on their court. We also lost to Seton, 45-l4. Our other de- feats were Patterson, 22-T9, Notre Dame of Maryland, 30-23, Catholic High, 36-l9, and the Institute of Notre Dame, 44-25. TO SUM IT ALL UP . .. The varsity has scored 382 points in l4 games, to their opponents 396 points. Lois Reed leads the Varsity with 2l2 points.
