iJgii:!A Mrs. Howard, school bookkeeper, is not often seen by the student body, but when her help is needed she is always there. Especially to be remembered are the nights when her office door is open to all who need to be fortified by a candy bar. Although the student body is not aware of the work done by her, the joint SCh00l board and administrators can say Thank You for a job well done. BEHI D THE SCENE Eau Mrs. Mickle, school secretary, lends the helping hand to all students, teachers, and visitors of the school. She bears the burden of a lot of paper work, thus relieving the teachers of some tiresome, time-consuming details. She is always there with supplies, aspirins, bandaids, and information as to where Mr. Hover is hiding. Her many duties may go unnoticed by some but to those who use her help she is well appreciated.

Mr. Hover may not always look this peaceful and happy, but who can blame him. Guidance, discipline, and instruction are given to students through the capable, willing hands of our principal. Mr. Hover's understanding of the students has, in all his dealings with them, displayed a sincere interest in his affairs. His many hidden tasks performed to contribute to the smooth functioning of our school system support Emerson's statement when he said, HAn in- stitution is the lengthened shadow of one man.' PECDPLE WHO WCJRK Townville High means many things to many people. It is to a few Hjust a schooln but to the majority of students it is the center of all activities. Here is where they learned together, shared together, and had fun together. It was almost the essence of their whole being, and in the future will serve as the basis for never- to-be-forgotten memories. This back view of the school, seen by each pupil as he entered school in the morning, shows the loading platform, shop, ag room, and the upper floor of classrooms. Also along this drive we many times welcomed back our football and basketball teams. , '?' 1' w fi: M ,mum I zu ,...,.
