When the Vocational girls made fondant for Easter eggs, Cherry was indis- pensable. DORIS JOHNSON . . . Dot She is quiet and dependable In every way comm-endable. The way was not so easy for Doris when she first started to school in Townville High. She was not well acquainted, but by her good nature, has worked her way into the hearts of her classmates. GRACE WERLING Sometimes quiet, sometimes shy But the rest of the time-Oh My! Grace is another one of the girls who took four years of Vocational work. Squiger My favorite, I might say my only study, is man. She was a member of the Commercial, Tri-Hi-Y and Glee Clubs and was treasurer of her class for three years. EVA MAE LEE Good sense and good nature are never separated. Although Eva Mae has only been with us two years, she has worked her way into almost every activity of our school. Everyone enjoys her trumpet solos. She is our salutatorian, too. During her first three years she sang in the Glee Club. She was a mem- ber of the Dramatic, Commercial and Tri-Hi-Y Clubs and played a trumpet in the orchestra. She was associate editor of the yearbook and was the society girl in the Senior play. GENELLA SHORTS . . . Shorty Here's a girl that we all love, My how she likes to dance! She is jolly, fine, and a mighty good sport, You can see that at a glance. Genella was a member of the Commercial and Glee Clubs. She was the sales manager of the school paper, The Torch. Her part in the Senior play was that of a girl who insisted on singing although it drove other people crazy. GERTRUDE GHERING . . . Gertie Where there's a will there's a way. Gertie was a member of the Dramatic, Commercial, Tri-Hi-Y and Glee Clubs. She has earned two let- ters playing on the Girls' Varsity basketball team. Bubbles She was just the quiet kind Whose nature never varied. Since Mable came to our school she has always been tiny. My idea is that she never will grow up. However, Mable did her part in school and I am sure that we couldn't have done without her. Her tiny fingers seem to like the typewriter keys. JANET CARPENTER . . . Jan A loving, faithful friend is Jan, She always lends a helping handg Whether at work or whether at play She willingly helps throughout the day. She was a member of the Commercial and Dramatic Clubs and played a violin in the orchestra. REX HOLCOMB . . . Here I hear, yet say not much, but think the more. Rex has done that wonderful thing and graduated from high school. Although many pitfalls occurred along the way, he has succeeded and is one of the Senior Twenty. We wish him further success in life. KENNETH YOCHUM . . . Guerdon For what I will, I will, and there an end. Kenneth's main ambition was to graduate, and he succeeded. Perhaps his next achievement will be in the agricultural field. In his Senior year he was student manager of the boys' basketball team. 'bhhhhhhhMEMhkhhhhhhhhhhhhhhkhhhhhhhMSW nvbhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhikkhhhhhhhhhhh
