What was cool, what wasn't, what happened, what wasn't supposed to happen. . . Children of yesterday, Heirs of tomorrow, What are you weaving? Labor and sorrow? Look to your looms again, Faster and faster Fly the great shuttles Prepared by the Master. Life's in the loom, Room for itâroom! SONG OF HOPE. STANZA I Today. . . The Tolo staff is taking events happening today and preserving them for tomorrow. Our youth we can have but today, We may always find time to grow old. Can Love Be Controlled BY ADVICE? We shall do so much in the years to come, But what have we done- today? We shall give our gold in a princely sum, But what did we give today? WHAT HAVE WE DONE TODAY? And Tomorrow The ultimate product of our toils. This book is yours for the rest of all your tomorrows. O ÂŤ ÂŤ There are two days in the week about which and upon which I never worry. Two carefree days, kept sacredly free from fear and apprehension. One of these days is Yesterday . . . And the other day I do not worry about is Tomorrow. THE GOLDEN DAY The past is only the present become invisible and mute; and because it is invisible and mute, its memoried glances and its murmurs are infinitely precious. We are tomorrow's past. PRECIOUS BANE (1924) FOREWARD Would you realize what Revolution is, call it Progress; and would you realize what Progress is, call it Tomorrow. COSETTE, BOOK 1, CHAP. 17 The philosophies of one age have become the absurdities of the next, and the foolishness of yesterday has become the wisdom of tomorrow. MONTREAL MEDICAL JOURNAL Dedication Throughout this past school year the Tolo Staff has been very hard at work getting this book out on time. Between picture-taking days, classroom pictures, fall deadlines, spring deadlines, typing jobs, ad selling, yearbook sales, and numerous other little chores along the way, we finally made it. But there was one person who was always there when we needed her and this past year would not have run so smoothly without her, so without further adieu, we would like to dedicate this 1976 Tolo to our advisor, Mrs. Kidd. 3 Seniors Secretary: Diane Sue Price Treasurer: Margaret Anne Mahony President: Christine Kay Morrell Sponsor: Mr. Gary Jackson Vice-President: Carol Sue Milbum 6 ⢠Class Sponsor: Mrs. Jane Johnson Student Council Representative: Deborah June Main Student Council Representative: Lori Jean Mallery AFS Representative: AFS Student: Nancy Cover Adrian Gnagi 7 Rita Jean Allen Denise Lynn Bames Dale Robert Blank Loretta June Cade James Henry Callahan Karen JoAnn Costin Charles Earl Curry Lynda Dalton Lowell Carlyle Dean 8 Mark Stephen Duncan Gary Eble Lorene Sue Ely Stacey Theodore Fairfield Steven Eugene Foffel William Stanton Foglesong Alan Ray Gray Samuel Eugene Grigg Stanley Lyle Grigg 9 Julia Ann Gustafson Julie Marie Heaton Melinda Kay Huffman Eric Sinclair Ingels Edwin Henry Jackson David Allen Ketron Kevin Eugene Kitterman Teresa Orwig Knowles Karen K. He is originally from Switzerland and he likes skiing, photography and is an excellent student. He came to Toulon to benefit from a taste of American life; and after almost a year in our little town, we the Tolo Staff feel he has been Americanized. We are proud of our school, and we would like to thank Adrian for the hard work he put in for the Camera Club, his work with our senior class especially at Homecoming, his hard work on the Tolo Staff, and most important of all; we thank him for himself because of him we'll all be a little different. Once again, thank you, Adrian Gnagi. 18 Administration and Faculty Faculty Faces 20 Mr. Richard Wisner, Superintendent Mr. Charles Zbrozek, Principal BOARD OF EDUCATION Back Row: Dean Williams, Murray Jackson, Harold Ely, Roger Gray. Somehow between the summer ad campaign, subscription sales, deadlines, Blanken-burg picture days, the Mysterious Munchkin, our unforgettable Christmas party, and spring fever, we made it. Looking back, it went so unbelievably fast. The only thing solid we have as far as memories go is this TOLO. I hope everyone enjoys looking through it as much as we, the staff have enjoyed putting it all together. This yearâs officers were: top row: K.
