The Tolo Staff . . would like to dedicate the 1973 Tolo to a special someone who helped make this book a success, who made the staff meetings more enjoyable, that special someone, our advisor, Miss Wilson. 4

THEY WERE YOUNG It was 1972 and 1973, and life was for living, and loving, and crying over “Brian’s Song,” or listening to a band playing “Colour My World.” It was also a time of learning how to take victory and defeat, be it in football, or speech contest, or a test grade. And it was a year of working at a job, or at schoolwork, or at getting out of as much as possible. It was the Independent Study Room, or noon-hour volleyball, or forgetting lines during play practice. Or maybe it was getting kicked out of classes or vandalizing the locker room, or generally getting away with as much as possible. It was the first year for some, the last for others. Some were younger, some older. All celebrating a worthy cause: Youth.
