The year started with a five-mile hike and weiner roast for new members. In November G.A. A. sponsored a party for the football team. Another of our activities was a basketball game between G.A.A. members and the men faculty for the benefit of the March of Dimes. No Talk to Boys Day provided an opportunity for the girls to show their independence of men. An orchestra dance and coronation of Mr. Irresistible topped off the evening. With all these extras, in addition to activity nights, G.A. A. remained one of the most progressive organizations in school. SEATED: Pricilla lies, Donna Drake, Connie Young. Although not a successful season in terms of the won-lost record, the Trojans were an improved team over last year's squad. Most of the teams in the conference boasted larger and faster squads. We lost our first two games to Manlius and Wethersfield, respectively. However, the third game proved to be a surprise to everyone. The Trojans came back to beat Dunlap 34-0. The next week we lost to Walnut and to everybody's disappointment we lost the services of quarterback Lee Pyle who broke his collar bone. Bad luck again plagued the Trojans as they lost a 7-6 squeeker to Wyoming in the homecoming mud. Although posinng only a 1-8 season mark, the Trojans never gave up their spirit and determination. A vote of praise should be given Dan Krans and Craig Webster who were selected All-Conference Honorable Mention. We hope the 1963 Trojans will post a better season mark despite the loss of seniors Tom Pitzer, Steve Sams, Dean Seckman, and Claude Webster. 57 Roger Anderson Most Improved Bob Williamson Most Valuable fi m ✓ 4 ' r V - V Larry Summy X'lj yvK CJ . jl 4 IBB • i yr: ■siS? . The boys had the spirit to keep fighting and the scars to prove it. With practice and experience the team has a good potential for future seasons.
