W, f ff w..m-us.-.-1,,.,,..v.w -v- -H-f-.-.. ......,.- -.W -V,-vi ff- .WN-. W Y.. ,. ,, I have enjoyed very much my association with the U.S.S. TORTUGA during this 1957 WestPac Tour. The ship has had a well balanced operating schedule and interesting individual as- signments. Though We have steamed over twenty thousand miles, no major casualty has been experienced. The ports visited have proved interesting and the time spent in them has allowed more than just a brief ulookseev. Most satisfying has been my chance to Work with a group of men who have shown their ability to shoulder a Work load out of proportion to their number and, even under the most strenuous operating conditions, keep the TORTUGA a proud ship. As this Cruisebook is going to press, may I bid each of the men of the TORTUGA best luck during their future careers- whether in or out of the service. Our effort, this cruise, speaks Well for itself, We have continued the best tradition of the Navy. HENRY T. BUGG i Lieutenant Commander, U.S.N. Executive Officer
