stones they had sardonxx the maroon stone that represented the school color Then smoke filled the scene md almost choked the cameraman I thought the school must be on fire When the an cl aled away a little I sau that 1tNNaS caused by the cigxr which Mr H111 was smoklng as he rm thrc ugh hls lines as Forbes the hald bolled busmess man Dulcy Although Mr H111 suryned the cigar h1s legs buckled undel him when D Ambrosio translated The lady threw her clothes 1nto the rn er and Kuhn tried to do h1m one better with The preserx ed lady A change of scenery and then there were b fllltlflll gowns muslc laughter and danclng The Prom Was iust gettlng under Way Suddenly a r r rlp and Mary Trafidlo s heel was St1Ck1Hg' through her dress The cam era turned for a moment on Mr Jeffrey making tl e punch for the hot tired dancers caught a last glimpse of the orchestra in their White Jack ets and then left the couples to enjoy their evening in peace When the class of 1935 gathered as semors to elect their class offi cers they chose Alfred Nelson presldent Mariette Kennedy was agam elected uce president and Billy Klambt treasurer Barbara Noxey was selected as class secretary The camera first took us to the armory where the basketball players were runnlng around in the1r maroon pyjamas or were they legg1ngs On the side lines the cheer leaders red faced and hoarse with the mas and a couple of others who 1ns1sted on cheering for the opposing team And upon my word I saw quite a few pairs of spats in evldence Back in the school the cameraman sllpped on the waxed floors and almost ruined the camera He finally managed to reach the auditorlum On the stage Elnar Palm was making himself famous in the leadlng role of Funny Ph1nn1e When the stage had been cleared off another play was presented This tim the CIVICS classes not to be outdone by the dramatic club had written and enacted a plav called The Course of Iustlce I could hear Julius Harris shouting questions and Jerry Auletta HHSXKQIIHQ' in a high falsetto xoice Zigmund KFLlllCk1 playing the part of the clerk couldnt remember the oath and had to resort to a plece of paper put in his pocket bv Glenna Bowman that able dlrector who knew the powers of Zlggy s brain Again Palm appeared on the screen this time explaining the lntrl cacies of adxertlsmg to the English class Vlfhv I can remember he remalked when you used to haxe to walk a mile foi a Camel now vou get a lift Just then there xx as a loud noise like an explosion follou ed by the sound of broken glass Thele stood Klambt in the chemistn laboratory gazing in amazement at a huge spot on the ceiling where his test tube had hit Well could he help It if the hx drogen uasn t coming out of the tube wx hen he trled to llght 1t'l In the auditorium again the camera rexexled the semor debators lvl 9 ,, uv , l .
