deep mto each other s eyes they sang one of the most popular numbers ot the entlre plan I m ln Loxe vuth You Honey At a slgral the chorus formed 1nto hnes A march was started 1nto the Assembly Hall Up and down the alsles ln pretty formatlon marched the members of the Freshman Class Spotless ballots were dropped 1nto a box a breathless hush descended and then cheer after cheer as Harold Green was announced as Class Presldent whlle Bernlce Welgold Mary Holley and Chester Moore took thelr places at hls slde In the meantime some ente1pr1s1ng young fellow undertook an ex perxment 1n Zoology A t1ny mouse was loosed ln the crowd M1ss Mc Kmght stood parallzed the glrls broke 1nto nervous shrleks The mouse attacked the books whlch was a fine thlng as no one else seemed to be attacklng them wlgorously Meanwshlle the glrls scampered out of all the 8k1tS 1n ulld haste and the first curtam descended wlth the mouse ln full possesslon of a deserted stage Act II and the Class of 1932 was now a year older The curtaln rose on the ladles of the chorus who were buslly en kaged 1n a b1scu1t baklng contest The gxrls ran to and fro and many dld speclalty dances whlle nurslng a burned finger Adrienne Jeanfavre and Myrtle Beyer succeeded IH maklng the model samples Then a lal ge pollce dog also seekmg an educatlon sauntered 1n All the glrls reg confronted by the vlclous anlmal whlch was ralsxng havoc w1th the glrls XOICGS Manfully he trled to coax the monster from the scene To no wall Suddenly w1th great presence of mmd someone grabbed a blS cult and hurled It Wlth accldental accuracy The dog staggered An other feathery b1scu1t found 1ts mark The dog dlopped and Cyrennlus dragged the l1mp figure off the stage Order restored the ladles of the chorus Wlth a qu1ck change of tostume romped xn vuth dolls seated themselves before the footllghts and went to work wlth a wlll at maklng doll costumes Fingers were palnfully prxcked and the clothes had many and warled red spots F nally after careful lnspectlon Mlss Hays made Ollxe Bottass and Adrlenne xery happy by plonounclng thelr efforts works of merlt and so the chorus ladles romped off to try thelr sklll ln other quarters The llghts dlmmed a green spotlight 1llum1ned the pale background and outllned the red head of Bob Bell an asplrlng mathematlclan as he went Hamlet ulth thls sollloquy Square or not square that IS the qLl9Stl0I'l Whether a clrcle can haxe colners and stlll be lound or be mg round can be a square Whether a cluller can be shaped by care l42J ' 9 , .
