School Administrators A MESSAGE FROM DR. AHEE Napoleon, who knew more about armies than any man in history, was once asked what was more important in battle, spirit or equipment. Napoleon answered immedi- ately, lt is three to one in favor of spirit as against equipment. You can say the same about a school, It is three to one in favor of school spirit as against equipment. You can have magnifi- cent buildings, libraries, laboratories, ,and faculties, but without the right kind of atti- tude, without a good school spirit, little can be achieved. AND WHAT lS SCHOOL SPlRlT? You don't find it-you create it. It is something that spreads. Good school spirit is as infectious as a smile, it is as involving as a round of applause or a cheerful tune. School spirit is a Combination of responsi- bility, positive attitudes, and the push of leadership. You demonstrate it when you offer your service or talent in co-curricular activity, a play, or a game,-as a partici- pant or as a spectator. Torrance High is proud of her School of Champions style. That tradition is the prod- uct of a student body which, through the years, has exhibited proper pride.
