The 1955 Tartars topped the hard luck list, first a split between two high schools sending several prospects to North High, and later in- juries to key players for the remainder of the season. Although not displaying an impressive rec- ord with seven losses, a win, and a tie, the team behind Capt. Skip Smith was fast and aggressive, but lacked depth which left in the North High split. After the season Capt. Smith was honored as making the Bay League first team while stars Butch Hazel and Tom Brown were placed on the second team. This year's games should offer many mem- ories to the seniors in the stands and per- formers on the field. TOP ROW Cleft to Rightlz Davis, Brown, Bertolet, Wilson, Bungard, Wheat, Lewis.
