Thus it is that the modern Tartans have combined with the ancient Tartars' courage and loyalty a great realization of the problems that face a postwar World The immediate necessity of great leaders to make, the World secure at last leads us to have the modern Tartar himself as the theme for this 1947 TORCH .... This being the last annual under the present administration, We, the 1947 Staff wish to thank the faculty and administrative omcers who have given us a great deal of their time and energy for many years. We want them to know that we recognize their loyalty and deeply appreciate it.
