They went to all of the rehearsals and acted as Hstand-insu for Gramp and Mike when they missed practice. These two characters were played by two members of the junior class--James Jeglum and Alton Nelson. Olga laughed heartily at Ole when he played nGrampsn. One day she said, NVell, Ole, I must say you vas some spud . They both enjoyed the way Gene Anderson played the part of aaron Butterfield and the way Emma Butterfield Clrene Mathisonl could handle him. orothy Nordquist as Janie and A. K. Lovre as Tom y made them both laugh and cry. "Baits and .7XQ51155N The visitors from Norway thought that HBolts and Nutsn, the hilarious junior class play, was one of the highlights of the year. It was run on November 5 and 4, and was put on with a double cast so that all class members could participate. Then Betty Lou Svennes had an appendectomy and was left out of it anyway. The play centered around Rebecca Bolt !Ruth Nordquistl, a spinster who was running a sanitarium for mental patients and also hunting for the money that had been hidden in the house by her deceased brother. Betty Glazier played the part of Benita Bolt, Rebecca's niece. Avis Vernlund was Lutie Spinks, the maid who winked, James Jeglum and Lyle Squires alternately played the part of Lawyer Plun- kett. Alton Nelson as Dadwalleder Clippy, a patient with catphobiag and Percy Konold as Henry Goober, a negro porter afraid of lunatics, kept the audience roaring. Harriet Sand was Martha Grubb, the melancholy cook, Ronald Hanna was Dr. Hippocrates Joy, a would-be psychiatrist. Vinton Bruflat was Twink Starr, Ben1ta's fiance who pretended to be Julius Caesar. The part of Jack Gordon, a young interns, was played by Neil Ohman and Duane Vik. Mavis Bergjord was Gertie Glossop. Best of all, Olga enjoyed seeing Larry Nelson and Bud Thompson, fifth graders, do the part of Wilber Glossop, Gertie's brat who insisted on having his cat around and his sling shot handy. ff
