GOING TCD PIECES The lite of an athlete isn t all it s cracked up to be. Along with the hard work and long hours an ath- lete may have to endure injuries as vvell. These injuries could be as major as a broken ankle. An ath- lete considers himself lucky if he escapes this most dreaded predic- ament. Not only is an injury painful for the individual, but the team must suffer as well. Topsail High's popu- lation is rather small, and vvhen one or more players become in- jured, the team diminishes quickly. lt's tough on all involved, but it's a price vve must pay.
