GCDLDEN TUNES Long dresses, tuxes, o softly lit room, the lotest music, ond storry-eyed couples were oll port ot the '87 Prom. The 'lsoe phisticoted otmosphere of stu- dents ond their escorts mode school seem forowoy, The ex- citement ond onticipotion of the longeowoited night showed on the foces. The gorter cere- mony ond the crowning of the Ising ond gueen highlighted the events of the night. Although the Prom meont different things to different people - the best night of their life or o complete disoster - it wos o night they would never forget. The scene ot the Prom thot night wos quite the opposite from o donce in our own school gym in October. Kids were dressed up os ghosts, goblins, ond Mother things. The crowd wos o little younger ond o little smoller, but they oll enjoyed themselves. The strobe lights ond loud music proved to be populor with the students os they donced oround in the gym in this bond- sponsored event.
