Mrs. Kay Piveri Varsity Softball Coach. Crightb Mr. Steve Garrett: Varsity Soccer Coach. Cbelow right? Mrs. Gail Daniel1 Junior Varsity and Varsity Cheere leading Coach. Cbelowb Hearts Gt Gold Over the years, we have seen many fine athletes pass through the Pirate pro- gram. l-lowever, not many people have also recognized the talent and hard work of the coaching staff. We often take coaches for granted, seeing them only as people who offer advice, guidance, and direction. Little do we realize that these are just the tip of the iceburg, a good coach can take a potential athlete and mold a potential star, Coaches believe in you when you don't have the courage to believe in yourself. They can see talent before it even surfaces, and they'll spend long hours day and night in order to instill the kind of qualities which will make a well- rounded athlete on and off the court. From the athletes of Topsail High School, to all coaches - Varsity as well as Junior l-ligh - we would like to say 'Thank You! for all your hard work and dedication. Sometimes we may not show much gratitude, but we all under- stand that behind every good athlete there is a great coach. 122 Coaches Mr. Ed Gibson: Athletic Director, Varsity Volleybal Varsity Golf Coach. l X .
