HANDSOME AND BEAUTIFUL SENIORS-Ralph Villa- nueva and Pam Quigley reigned as Senior Prince and Princess during the '77' Homecoming.

WILDCAT STYLE ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN-All Valley Ron Forgey is helped off the field. , 4. C -i.,.,. J The 1977 football season for the Top-Hi Wildcats proved to be interesting, exciting and successful. It be- an with the Wildcats surprisin the league power and Favorite Selah in the first game ogthe season. Top-Hi held a 15 to 20 lead at halftime before going down to defeat 19 to 15. The second game saw the Wildcats being upset by the West Valley Rams 7 to 0, as the cats experienced their onl Down game of the year. At this point in the season the Wildcats installed a new offense and great things began to ha pen. The cats won 5 of the remaining 7 games. The two lost games were very close, both being lost in overtime. Through the season the cats loses were just as exciting as ,their wins. To -Hi ended with a 5-4 record. Its four lost games were E a total of 16 points, where as overall the cats outscorecltheir opponents 203 to 99. Coach Bob Winters remarked, The cats performed well and had a successful season, Toppenish can be proud of a very fine football team in 1977, and looks forward to another fine team in 1978 with many outstanding players returning from the varsity and outstanding junior varsity. This year the Homecoming turned out to have some happy moments shared between the Homecoming Royalty and the Football players. During Homecoming Week, the students and faculty participated in the happenings that were taking place during the week. Many things happened: Monday was hat day, Tuesday was button day, Wednes- day was slob day, and Thursday hap- pened to be twin day. Friday was dress-up day, for that was the day the Homecoming Royalty was pre- sented to the student body and the faculty at the pep assembly. Queen Lori Steinmetz and her court, Senior Princess Pam Quigley, junior Princess Connie Alcorn, and Sophomore Princess Karolyn Sea- lock, were brought onto the foot- ball field in Corvettes. King Rudy Pruneda and his court, Senior Prince Ralph Villanueva, junior Prince Bryan Southards, and Sopho- more Prince Rich Forgey, presented the Queen and her Princess to the crowd, then escorted them to their seats. Parades are starting to be a tradi- tion at the Toppenish Homecomings. Floats that were presented to the town for the 77 Homecoming were the senior float, WHIP THE HUSK- lES , the junior float, ROLL 'EM WILD CATS , and the sophomore float, WILDCATS RULE . The pa- rade was held at the high school parking lot, and was led through the main part of town, then ended at the football field. Pep talks were given by Coach Bob Winters and some of the varsity ball players. The football cheerleaders led the cheers during the rally. This all led to a great game, Top- penish Wildcats defeating the Othel- lo Huskies, 20-13. HOMECOMING
