WILDCAT STYLE ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN-All Valley Ron Forgey is helped off the field. , 4. C -i.,.,. J The 1977 football season for the Top-Hi Wildcats proved to be interesting, exciting and successful. It be- an with the Wildcats surprisin the league power and Favorite Selah in the first game ogthe season. Top-Hi held a 15 to 20 lead at halftime before going down to defeat 19 to 15. The second game saw the Wildcats being upset by the West Valley Rams 7 to 0, as the cats experienced their onl Down game of the year. At this point in the season the Wildcats installed a new offense and great things began to ha pen. The cats won 5 of the remaining 7 games. The two lost games were very close, both being lost in overtime. Through the season the cats loses were just as exciting as ,their wins. To -Hi ended with a 5-4 record. Its four lost games were E a total of 16 points, where as overall the cats outscorecltheir opponents 203 to 99. Coach Bob Winters remarked, The cats performed well and had a successful season, Toppenish can be proud of a very fine football team in 1977, and looks forward to another fine team in 1978 with many outstanding players returning from the varsity and outstanding junior varsity. The followin players were honored as recipients of the designated awards Ron Forgey- RON HOVIS AWARD, Kevin Bouchey- MR. DEFENSE, Dennis Roth- MR. OFFENSE, Chuck Brandt, Kevin Bouchey, Ron Forgey- CO-CAPTAINS. 1st Row Left to Right, Phillip Gonzales, Ramiro Vijarro, Ramon Farias, Will Scarlett, Ioe Morrison, jack Meyers, Randy Marshall. 2nd, Coach Strom, Kevin Bouchey, Chuck Brandt, Tom Tebb, Ron Forgey, Rudy Pruneda, Benny Gutierrez, Dennis Reeves. 3rd, Coach Winters, joe Gadley, Curt Chandler, Steve Huylar, joe lacobs, Don Sandberg, Kurt Benz, Rommel Strom, Chris Gehlen, Coach Bator, Coach Allen, 4th, Dennis Roth, Fabian Castilleja, Perry Perrault, jim Thom- as, jack Walker, l,C. A MATCH MADE FROM HOMECOMING-Bryan South- ards and Connie Alcorn joined together as junior Prince and Princess, in 77. 3. HANDSOME AND BEAUTIFUL SENIORS-Ralph Villa- nueva and Pam Quigley reigned as Senior Prince and Princess during the '77' Homecoming.
