Every group has its own personality, composed of many elements which make that group unique and distinguished from others of the same basic pattern. THE SPIRIT OF '58 is invisible, but it is always present and we know its char- acter and its source. This spirit is sus- tained by the boys and girls, men and women, who make up Top-Hi's community. Just as you have created this feeling, you have helped create this book. Your staff has recorded your year for you with the hope that both the year and the book have been opened with expectation and closed with profit. It is your year and your book because you helped make it. Without the contributions made by each staff member, this Tohiscan would never hint at all your memories. Unlike most other groups in the school, your staff worked through the year with little visible proof of the results of their efforts. This book, finally, now shows the quality of work, only staff members can know its quantity. As their editor, I thank them, not only for their efforts, but for their fine spirt during the year. No one realizes the hard work an advisor must put forth. A staff can work in relaysg an advisor's job is constant, To you, Miss Finch, I'd like to say that I will always be grateful for all the time and assistance you have given me in the production of this year's annual.
