-LIBRARY Books Inspire Trojans Greater Achievement TROY,S library catered to students needs this year by the availability of current news, pam- phlets, and magazines for research. Endless shelves provided a great variety of fiction and non-fiction books for many hours of enjoyment. Ye Olde Bookshoppe was introduced this year as a means to sell paperback books to students during the year. The old English styling and atmosphere helped to contribute to the achieve- ment of many students. Trojans are assisted in their selections by two librarians and three tech- nical assistants along with several student proc- tors. PROCTOR Norma Snyder checks out books to Trojan Pat Doyle. AD C. ELEY, M.S. N.F.L., F. TA. i , -DEBATE State-WidePracticing Improves Speech Skill AT the end of the L66-C67 debate season, Tope- ka High's debaters had placed in a total of 16 tournaments. Both the experienced and the no- vice debaters won one first place. The novices took two second places and one third place. Troy7s debate squad placed third in the District Tournament which was hosted by Highland Park High School on january 13 and 14. This year's debate season proved to be a rewarding experience for Troyls Hfast talkers. 24 s Debate, Speech, English DISTRICT debater, jack Targownik, ex- presses an objection to the affirmative. NERVOUSLY awaiting the announcement of the results are Kristen Dutton, Jack Targownik, Monty Clouse, Randy Moke, and Mr. Eley. A ray ofsunshine is put into Linda Malloy's day by coach Ad Eley
