GETTING information on proper form for term papers keeps Dennis Witthar attentive. -ENGLISH Grammar Concentrates Cn Composition Study IN a world which daily demonstrates the need for better understanding of people and cultures, Troy's largest department, English, offers not only the basics in the ,fundamental field of com- munication but also makes available to the in- quiring student a wide range ofsubj ects and courses. The prescribed courses in grammar and English may be followed by world and British literature, creativedwriting, journalism, speech, debate, or play production. Contests including those of national scope, give the student an op- portunity to compete and see their efforts in print. Interest was stimulated this year by new textbooks which stress composition as well as grammar. These courses were designed to meet specific college requirements and training for jobs. There was something for everyone stimulating each to investigate and understand the world around them.
