SUPERINTENDENT of Schools, Dr. Bolton, remedies problems brought before the Board. 10 -CITY ADMINISTRATION Dedicated Men Comply With Unique Challenges School Board members, assisted by Dr. Merle R. Bolton, Superintendent of Schools, worked together to solve problems brought before the city administration this year. Selection of new teachers and repair and rebuilding of schools damaged in the june 8 tornado were only two of the tasks facing these highly trained men. Additionally, they were required to cope with expanding enrollment and other financial and legal problems. These they handled without neglecting the quality of instruction or ignoring the physical equipment needed for all the schools. The untiring contributions of these men helped to make the 1966-1967 school year a most valuable experience. DR. MERLE R.
