There are 300 feet of land, two blocks in width, covered with shady old elm trees and gnarled oaks, rich in the traditions of Bethany college, an Episcopalian school for girls, well known in the West since 1864. Located in the shadow of the Grace Cathe- dral, the new schoo1's architectural beauty of line and surroundings will be equalled by its modern and adequate equipment. The structure is being built to endure, for it must house Topeka's high school student body for half a century to come. The construction of the building was begun in November, 1929.
