Hail to Queen Barbara! Long may she reign! That Barbara Ann Lee should be queen was inevitable, for she is a favorite among all her companions. He widespread popularity is chiefly due to her effervescing spirit and the bubbling enthusiasm with which she both works and plays. Not only is she popularg Barbara is also studious and very intelligent always having ranked among the very highest in her classes When only a yunior she was received into the National Honor Society But above all her other talents is her beautiful voice Barb has won many honors for herself her instructor and her school with her melodious soprano voice By hard work persevering study and tireless effort she has improved and made such a success of her singing that she now thrills crowds of listen ers with her songs in church school and public affairs Ulf A true king both in appearance and in man ners is Edward McCarthy more commonly known as Tex This nickname was immedr ately attached to the new boy who came to Holy Name School in the seventh grade from Texas and has persex ered even through high school A good looking and a likeable young man Tex has made a host of friends who admire his impartial attitude toward them all The seniors displayed intelligent voting in electing Ed king for they chose not only their favorite but also an excel lent student one who has been a member of the National Honor Society for two years now Our singing voice His deep rich baritone voice graces many programs with its songs No affair seems quite complete without one of Texs pleasing performances Page Ten 7' 7 , Y , , , , , 3 7 YL 4 1 V . - 7 5 , - 3 king, as well as our queen, has an extraordinary V A . , ,Q u .
