CLASS HISTORY ve entered high school a class of fifteen sturdy fresh men Despite the fact that we were constantly threatened by upperclassnen and hounded with honcvork, we had a wuysuccess ful vear Je gave a profitable dance and a class picnhx Doug Douglass ard Lon Lo an began their h gh school athletic careers and vere on the Vlrslty Basketball squad lnd so ve entered our second vear as Sophomores with sevent en much WlSPT students Je were no longer the main attraction as the unperclassmen had turned their attention to the n w Freshmen, however, we still were at their mercy and had to w tch our step Several of our girls were married Ve soon had new additions, though, when Frank dest, Sara Titus, Ladlson Locke and Gerald oharp enrolled Ie added to the soclal calendar with our Soph Hop and our annual class pic nic It was Doug s and Don's second year of basketball and Dan Murnane's first Arleen Lofthouse was elected cheerlead xnother year gone by and then ve were Juniors class mates contlnued to come and go ohlrlee llank Jolned us Highligh+s of our Junlor year were the Junlor Play, the Jun ior lrom and our class p1 nic Our boys were even more ath 1 ticallv lncllned and went out for both baskedndl and track Doug and Don made the flr t string and Dan the second sfrlng on the Iuckers Our class d1d vell in lnterclass basketball too, and came in second place ln the tournament a so placed econd in Interclass track, after whlch Iadlson and Doug made the track team lrleen was agaln elected cheer leader careers Flft66H of us started the last tretch together as o6HlOTq le again lost and Q1lH6d cla 1ates arl omlth and vOHHlG morrln entered our class Je gave a benlor Play, a spmghettl feed, and our Senlor dell lhe athletlc achieve ments of our bovs was very good Doug, Don, and m8dlSOH made flrst strlng on the luckers Gene Redmon became manager of the team Our cla s won the 1nt rclass ba ketball tournament Madlson, Doug, Doh, and Gene made the track team Frances Sorhouet was elected a cheer leader Arleen Lofthouse gave her hand 1n mQTTl8gS during the veer but she remalned with All in all we spent four successful vears in high school Tany of us were promlnent in school activitles and held various club offices durlng our star in school Our eenlor vear was perhaps the most successful along these Dnes Our last dave were filled vlth preparatlons for our long sought goal vraduatlon ind so me bid farewell to our T H 3 and to the many happv tlmes we spent there Je take w1th us our memories and high hopes for the future I - , , . .I , ,, J ' ,V 5 u A 1 . 1 , X N, 3 L . rt. 5, .L I 1 . -1 ' 1 .
