NUGGET SENIOR HISTORY Q J, a class of 21 strong, looked forwnrd to the day where we should fill our places in T H S as full fledged high school students In September 1932, we took our places ln the high school as sembly feellng very hxgh spirited and self satisfied But the next day we were larred loose from our feeling of contentment by the upper classmen Our freshman your was a success both socially and financially We elected for our class offncers the following Ollnto Barsantl, Presidentg Olga Beko, Vice President, Eleanor Tralnorg Secretary and Treasurer Our gnrls basketball team was well represented with Olga Beko,Eleanor Traynor and Genova llarty belng the first freshmen girls to make the first string As Sophomores, we also were very successful and prominent in many hlgh school events We elected the following executives for our Sophomore year: Raymond lerales,Presldentg Geneva larty, Vice Presldent3Bill Kennett, Secretary and Treasurer The class was well represented ln sports as Ollnto Bersantl made the maln strlng ln basketball, and Olga Beko, Geneva larty and Eleanor Traynor made the girls basketball team The glrls also won the lnterclass basketball champlon ship Well, there we were upperclassmen We entered our Junior year with broad smlles on our faces Our f lrst task was to elect new class officers They were as follows: Ollnto Barsantl, President, Eleanor Traynor, Vlce President, Olga Beko, Secretary and Treasurer Olga Beke was elected yell leader of the Student Body We not only made a fxne showlng lu athletics ln our Junior year, but the members of our class took a great many other school actlvltles Again our glrls won the lnterclass basketball championship Ollnte Barsautl, Bill Kennett and Raymond Morales made the first strlug ln the boys basketball, while Olga Beko,Liberty Clifford, Eleanor Traynor and Helen Landers made the girls first string sn basketball Did we feel proud to be able to call ourselves Seniors? And How We made a fine selectlon of class offlcers agaln thxs year, Raymond lorales, President, Helen Landers, Vlce President, Ollnto Barsantl, Secretary and Treasurer, wnth llss Helen lorris, Class advisor In thls, our last year, our class has been well represented ln all actlv ltles and organisations Our members have held many lmportant officer George Boscovlch, Student Body, President, Liberty Clifford, Secretary of Student Body, Fred Steen, Treasurer of Student Body, and Jack Dynan, Editor of Sandstorm As Seniors, several new members joined us from theJunior Class and several ef our own members left our class The latter were Geneva larty, Helen Bane vlch, and Blll Kennett The new members were George Boscovlch, who became Student Body President, Robert Shields, Isabel Nalsmlth We are very happy to add these new members te our class We made a flue showing thls year lu athletics. Taking both boys and gnls lnterclass basketball. The class was also well represented in basketball by having Ollnto Barsantl, Captalu of boys basketball team, Raymond lorales, James Donohue, Robert Shields, and George Boscovlch maklag melu string. The girls basketball was Olga Beko, Llberty Clifford, Helen Landers, Eleanor Trainor and Isabel Naismlth maklug the main string for glrls. Although we are very proud to think that we have completed our high school life, we will never forget, aor will we ever try to forget all of the good times we have had lu dear old Tonopah Hi. We slmcerely thank all those who advised us during our high school period ef study, and we honestly hope and trust that they wlll not be disappointed ln what the members of our class may accomplish in life.
