When Edward arrives he is mistaken for a caterer, due to the fact that he detests water and that he ns interested in Jeanette, he does not explain the mistake Thus, it is possible for David Kern to be mistaken for Edward David becomes interested in Frances Marie, and Edward prevails upon him to keep up the deception. This operetta was under the direction of Miss Ila Meyer. 'UP IN THE AIR which was presented last year under the direction of Miss Jean Quast and Mrs.Hansen, was the first operetta offered by the high school for several years. One of my hxgh school years was spent nn a large high school nn California, and Ican not help but compare that year wxth the three active, wholesome years ln T H S Of course the city school was ncher in wealth, equipment, sub jects and actnvities offered the students, but it lacked unified work and an all that one must grasp for oneself under the hxgh school roof It was nmpossible in such a huge maclune to talk to a busy teacher except byappointment for fxve mln utes' It was impossible to know the prxncipal for fear that he knew you by name' Impossible too, to have close contacts with your fellow students when street cars carrxed you ll opposxte dlrectxons after school!
