The Student Council humbly, respectfully, and somewhat sorrowfully dedicates this yearbook to the memory of the old Tonkawa high school building and the memory of many happy carefree hours spent within its walls. The old building served the youth of this community for many, many years efficiently and well, until old age and the march of pro- gress took its toll. With its passing, we lose a beloved and well-known landmark. BOARD OF EDUCATION We in Tonkawa are very fortunate to have our new high school building which affords every high school student an outstanding op- portunity of learning. Those of you fortunate enough to attend this school should take great pride in it. You are students today, but to- morrow you will be among the leaders in your home community. I urge you to take advan- tage of the opportunity of learning which is afforded you while a student in Tonkawa High School. Vifhether you succeed or fail in life de- pends largely on how well you apply yourself now to the opportunities at hand. The habits you acquire in high school will chart the course of your entire life.
