We have numerous subjects to offer the stu- dents at Tonica High. Our business courses consist of Bookkeeping Steno I8L II, Office Practice, Typing, Eco- nomics and General Business. Four years of Agriculture is offered to the boys and two years of Shop. For the girls there are four years of Home Economics. Our mathematics consists of Algebra, Ge- ometry, Algebra II and Trigonometry. W Mr. Myler okays the work, as Mike and Marge continue in The Algebra I students work a problem as Mr. Roth ex- Steno II class. plains the steps. 1

The bus drivers, L to R--Lefty Warrner, Dick Mudge, Bob Polty, Slim Hasselman, Chuck Swift, La Verne Foote--give their time, effort and patience to get us to school on time and to return us safe and sound through rain, mud, sleet, wind and snow. U15 Student Hardy Chunks Wu Lefty, as we all know him, keeps our halls and classrooms clean. III girls arrange flowers Four years of English-Literature is available to all students. In our Science department we have an opportunity to take Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Social Science. Latin I 85 Il and French I SL II are the two foreign languages that are taught. World History and U. S. History can be taken anytime throughout our high school career. Drivers Education is a one-half year course which consists of written work and behind the wheel driving. Our Physical Education program has girls and boys P. E. which helps us keep physically fit. Our athletics program pro- vides basketball, baseball and track. Mrs. Irvine and Frank show the French II class the part of France which they are studying. Mr. Sickley and his students look on as Larry points out on the map the region which they are studying in World
