S P A N I S H C L U iir B NN The Dramatics Club is always open to new members and usually does afine job of bringing out some of those 'hidden talents. This year the club was sponsored by Charles Gernerd and Charles Richter. Help- ing to guide the club through its successful year were Diane Citta, presidentg Pat Trenery, vice-presidentg Dona Wheeler, secretaryg and John Krokosky, treasurer. The Lottery' was selected for the one-act play this year and was given on Nov- ember 20th. The Spanish Club with the guidance of a new sponsor, Conrad Schmitt, undertook ac- tivities including: taking a trip to New York, presenting aplay to the club members, hearing various speakers, holding a authentic Spanish Christmas party, and learning the cha-cha. All members of the Spanish Club were required to speak Spanish at the meetings conducted by Tim Rowe, presidentg Leslie Rodriguez, vice-presidentg Judith Cowl, secretaryg and Judith Dirkin, treasurer. l s

L I B R A R Y C L U B Haifa One of the service clubs which attracts many members from all four grades is the Library Club. These members help Miss Bessie McLean by processing new books and magazines, repairing books, and checking them in and out of the library. As one project this year, the club held its annual tea in the fallg it was highlighted by the dedication of a portrait of Miss McI..ean to the school library. Officers were Emmy Versnel, presidentg Jack Ryan, vice-presidentg Donna Dean, secretaryg and Lydia Dryburgh, treasurer. Three presidents, Bonnie Frame, Mea Maimone, and Sandy Cain, made this year's Service club distinctive. Miss Barbara Diehl, adviser, decided to give all three girls a chance to direct the club instead of having are-election. Each presided over four meetings. Other officers were Joyce Karagias, vice-presidentg Jeanne Grasso,secre- taryg and lxaren Walota, treasurer. As in past years, Service Club members helped in the refreshment booth at foot- ball games, ushered at school functions, and served the school in other ways. J I 1 I 4 ...f v v - , v ii his '4 4'-

The Dorians and boys' and girls' glee clubs participated in the Christmas Con- cert, Spring Concert, and various assembly programs. The Dorians, a select group of singers, also performed for the Rotary Club, the P.T.A., and at the Thanksgiving assembly. The Chorus this year, as usual par- ticipated in the Christmas Concert, the annual Christmas Community Sing, as well as var- ious assembly programs. The ninety-five members chose Larry May, president, Pete Thompson, vice-president, and Betty Sue Angen, secretary-treasurer. The Dorians, a select group of outstanding vocalists, are chosen each year by the chorus director. In the back row il. to r.J are Andy Seluchins, Pete Thompson, Larry May, Henry Fischer, Roman Rudnytsky, Bob Queen, and Fred Goodman. In the front row are Nancy Sproul, Mary Moran, JoAnn Maione, Phyllis Thompson, Penny Brown, Donna Hay- den, Toni Jardel, Debbie Blanchard, and Eugene Kulig, director. CHORUS fem ,-7 I .il 1 7 ko Eugene Kulig completed his second year as vocal music director at Toms River High School.
