Township Line Q Nw ' Courier p The 1958 football team, led by Captain Perry Smith, began the season with four vic- tories. The turning point of the season was the Rumson-Fair Haven game in which Toms River lost 6 to 24. After that contest the team could not recapture its winning ways. Three losses were suffered to Point Pleasant, Pleas- antville, and Matawan. Victories over our primary rivals, Central Regional and Lakewood, make any Toms River season a successful one.
