Lf I958 SPGRTS NIGHT Sports Night was one of the highlights of the school year 1957-58. The girls were divided into two groups: the Reds, headed by Betty Sue Angen and Mea Maimone, andthe Whites, headed by Lois Braun and Jane Anne Davis. The Reds' theme was Around the World with acts reflecting various geographic regions. France was portrayed by a Can-Can danceg Scotland, a tap dance, and Switzerland, march- ing. The Whites ' theme was Storyland. Among the Whites' specialties were a dance telling the story of Snow White, bunnies doing exercises, and tumbling by girls dressed as peppers. The proceeds totaled 51,050 from which a S500 contribution was presented to the Com- munity Memorial Hospital. Miss Miller believes that the effort dis- played by all was superior and the show out- standing. n 'ia X. ,S l These four girls, Nelleda Vellucci, Judy Joseph, Judy Johnson, and Irene Pijak, were members of a group of 25 girls who rep- resented the 'White' team and portrayed king's men from 'Alice 1nWonder1and'.
