A selecTed group oT sTudenTs assumed The duTies and responsibili- Ties of The TaculTy and The ianiTors, Under The leadership of STudenT Principal Junice Sica, order, quie+, and The usual digniTy oT a schools day prevailed. All The sTudenTs were anxious To co-operaTe despiTe The absence oT TaculTy mem- bers. l'lighlighTs of The day were a Tomaio pie- eaTing conTesT ai' lunch Time, and an enTerTain- ing assembly program in The aTTernoon. The program ieaiured Thelma Elms who sang GuilTy and Oh, BUT l Do. Mr. DeTwiler re- :iTed one oT Tad Daly's Tamous poems, Da Bigga Baseball. Al Sica, Chuck Benariclc, Carl Vaddy. and George SaviTslcy, All-Americans from The UniversiTy of Pennsylvania were also on The program.
