THE CLASS WILL We the Class of 1937 who entered this mstrtutron four years ago suffering from lack of mental nourishment and rrany other ailments too numerous to mention subjected ourselves to the faculty and staff for observation and diagnosis After due delrberatron we were placed upon the operating table and under the skrllful hands of trained surgeons our many faults and warped ideas were humanely removed and corrected We have recovered after four years convalescence thanks to the tender care of these same surgeons and their assistants and many vaccinations against such dr eases as stupidity selfishness and thoughtlessness Now having recovered our full strength being well fortified with the sincerity of endeavor and sound of both mmd and body before our discharge from this beloved institution in gratitude we the Class of 1937 do nereby bequeath all our worldly goods tand badsb in this our Joint Last Will and Testament We do hereby endow and direct that all our Just or unjust debts howsoever contracted and to whomsoever the same may be due and owing shall be paid rn full by those under their third year of observation fand who will fellow us within ten days of our demise? To the Board of Education our Trustees for their industry in bettering our environment we leave our humble and hearty thanks for the opportunities with which they have been so generous To Mr Edgar M Frnck Sr our supervisor we bequeath our appreciation and thanks for the help he has so drlrgently given us To Nathaniel Simmers Detwrler the head surgeon who has tried to remove our faulty habits as humanely as possible we leave those he didnt quite unroot so that h may be prouder of hrs patients of 1938 Izzy Hrrshblond leaves his passion for Algeb a I to Edgar Tilton Nelson Cornell leaves hrs love for uniforms to Harriet Colley who we have heard has a secret passion for them Red Tversky and Edgar Slack leave their art of slapprn the bass to Happy Norris and Bob Rrtter Frank Then leaves hrs title of the great Woman Hater 10h Yeah'PJ to Bob Applegate Watch your man Bernie' After much persuasron Ruth Moyer and Eunice Clayton have kindly consented to bequeath to Paul Kelly Joe Baiamonte and Fred Hoffman their quiet and reserved manners We hope youll take advantage of thrs legacy boys Oscar Duttweiler leaves hrs everlasting laziness to Herman Jurrst The faculty doesnt think he needs any but he does That noisy pau Harry Duckworth and Bill Perry leave their chatter to Doris James and Louise Sonders and gals there will probably be plenty of it. If you havent noticed Mike Borgas mustache youd better get used to it because you'll be seeing plenty of it next year. You see Mike has promised to show Art Carson how to make those little specks of peach fuzz on Arts upper lip into a bristling mustache. Joe Poschl and Jean Dunn leave their little puns that their grandparents left them to Mary Cartella and Arthur Hotaling Jr. Herbert Karol and George Cornelius who are the future artists of the Sunday classical section tcartoonsb present a portion of their talent to Howard Carriker who will now be an editor' who can draw his own pictures.
