Linder the guidance of Bliss llcformick, the freshmen sponsored a tag sale for the benefit of Boys Town and the Chinese Blind. A portion of the money we collected was donated to our local Helping Hand Society. September 7th we struggled painfully arranging our schedules, which proved to be a problem-on our very first day of school! 'lihe following day was hard on the leather and rubber soles as we trudged through the halls to classes just long enough to be assigned desks and those he- loved textbooks. The next few days we went up the wrong stairs and through the wrong door into the assembly, with a bewildered expression which we intended to be bright and intelligent. Une of our first class meetings was devoted to the election of class officers. 'lihey were chosen thus: Harold Thompson, president, 'liom Rose, vice-president, and June Roberts, secretary and treas- urer. Kliss KIcCormick and Blrs. Kelley are our class advisors. A committee of the freshmen plotted and schemed for several days to prepare a pep session pre- ceding a football game. hlembers of the team, as a result, had their fortunes told by the great palm- ist, Blme. Lazonga, with the aid of her assistant. lfvidently the team must have been overjoyed with the prospects of the future as they plunged through the line gaining a victory for T. H.
